Raceway Park’s Road Course Provides the Thrills to Match Your Skills!

If you’re looking for exciting things to do in New Jersey, we’ve got the perfect solution—drive your own car on a professionally designed track! Whether you desire to establish personal driving goals, are looking for thrilling, fun group activities with a bunch of your friends or coworkers, or simply want to experience the excitement of a fast drive on a professional race track, you can do it on the Road Course at Englishtown’s Raceway Park!

Road CourseOur engineers have accommodated our customers’ desires by designing a 1.35 mile road course that features a 50’ wide, 1,400 ft straightaway, a 90 degree right turn, a 16 degree banked left turn, and a mini corkscrew. It’s challenging enough to test any street legal sports, touring, or performance car, yet safe enough to allow amateur and recreational drivers to ride side-by-side or safely pass each other in a competitive setting. Prior to racing on the road course, each driver must complete a Registration Form and fill out a Tech Inspection Form for every car he or she will introduce to the track.

Raceway Park has organized a full schedule of events that ensures drivers with any type of skill level or race vehicle can use Raceway Park’s Road Course. We’ve also established various options that are designed to safely give every type of racing enthusiast the time they desire on the course:

Raceway Park Road Course Club

Our road course club is an affordable way to spend New Jersey day trips running Open Track and Time Trial events. Admission to the Raceway Park Road Course Club is contingent upon completion of one of our schools listed below. The club benefits include access to the road course for you to run Open Track or compete in our Time Trial events. We offer four levels of track events:

  • Novice (green) is for beginners
  • Intermediate (White and Blue) is for our advancing students
  • Advanced (Red) is for our racing club members.

Our School, Open Track, and Time Trial events are offered at every level. You will never have to run on our track with members of a level that you are not a part of.

Note: To compete in any open track or time trial event you must have Raceway Park license or the equivalent (EMRA, SCCA, NASA)

* Raceway Park School- ($225- 8 hours)

Raceway Park Road CourseNovice Class (Green License) is designed for people that have little to no road racing experience and want to gain knowledge on how to negotiate a road course properly as well as prepare their car for the track. It will increase your day-to-day driving skills, teach you the basics of car control, and prepare you for high performance driving. In the classroom you will learn everything from proper braking techniques and apexing to track preparation.

Intermediate Class (White and Blue License) is available for our advancing members. Once you complete our Novice School, or you have graduated from an approved road racing school, you will be eligible to take this class. It will allow you access to run with a faster group, with other members of the same skill level.

Advanced Class (Red License) If you graduated from our Intermediate School or have a Racing License from an approved sanctioning body then you’re eligible for our Advanced School. This school is for members who either race or are interested in racing. Our Advanced students will be mainly high horsepower streetcars or complete race cars.

* Open Track Events- ($125- 6 hours)

Our Open Track Events allow you access to the road course to perfect your driving ability. You get to run on the track with other club members for 6 hours. Passing is allowed in designated areas with safety as our main concern. Space will be limited so pre registration is required.

* Time Trial Events- ($125- 6 Hours)

Our Time Trial Events allow members to compete against each other. You will race the clock to see who can run the fastest time at your skill level. Members are on the track with a limited amount of cars. Because of a staggered start, passing will not be necessary. Space is very limited so pre registration is required.

Note: To compete in any open track or time trial event you must have Raceway Park license or the equivalent (EMRA, SCCA, NASA)
